About
After twenty-five years at the helm of the business, Stan started his own tourism consultancy in 2018. Armed with extensive experience, exclusive partnerships, and a reputation for impeccable service, he’s become a renowned ambassador for Newfoundland and Labrador.
His love of sustainable tourism and cultural preservation led him to northern Labrador where he ran a remote base camp and coordinated helicopter tours in the epic Torngat Mountains National Park.
Today, Stan is the Adventure Tourism Advisor for the internationally-acclaimed Fogo Island Inn and has contributed his expertise to projects for the Nunatsiavut Government, The Wilds Resort, and private enterprises in Bay de Verde.
Stan’s commitment to excellence in the tourism industry is evident in his ongoing industry involvement throughout Canada and beyond. He is a board member with Destination Canada, and consults with Prince Edward Island Tourism, and Tourism Development International in Ireland. Stan was rewarded with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (for his contribution to the Canadian tourism industry), and he is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society.
Throughout his career, Stan has served in a vary of roles, from chair to board member, on a number of other provincial, national, and international industry organizations, including the Canadian Tourism Commission, Tourism Industry Association of Canada, Atlantic Canada Tourism Partnership, Adventure Tourism Association of NL, NL Tourism Industry Association, NL Tourism Board, Gros Morne Institute of Sustainable Tourism, and Marine Atlantic Inc.
